Dead Men Tell No Tales

Soo... it's new year huh?
Well, last year didn't go too bad, had a few cruddy bits but all in all it wasn't the worst year I've had. Didn't hear back from the cattery which didn't suprise me. Oh well.

I'm fastly approaching the end of my course, I start back tomorrow but things at college haven't exactly gone that well. To put it simply we got a new section manager and she seems to have done her best to screw things up since she came in. And so I'm going to have to start the search for a job before too long. Fun. :/

This year I'm going to try my hardest art wise not to procrastinate, I'm going to just draw as I have quite a few pieces that have been in mind for a stupidly long time and I need to do them. I will also try to get as many reference sheets done as possible, as yet again I've been needing to do them for a while and improve my anatomy as much as I can. I'm just generally going to try and get 'my shit together' so to speak.

My new Asus laptop which I wasn't expecting to get. It's a lovley laptop even if I don't have Photoshop on it right now.

I've just finished writing a CV and covering letter to hopefully go for a job. The RSPCA cattery near me is apparently looking for a 'cattery assistant' so I've tried my luck at getting in. I have no idea if I'll be sucesfull but if I am it will hopefully be good, as since it's so close I don't need to worry about communting money on top of my college money.

So, my mum has already started asking me 'what I want for Christmas' and honestly I don't have an answer. She has no idea what to buy for me and I have no idea what I want. I want/need a new laptop but she told me that's probably too expensive unless my oldest brother decides to upgrade and gives me a handmedown.

I'm awkward. I honestly can't think of anything, I've had this problem since I was 13 or so. Ever since I 'grew out' as it were of the 'kiddy christmas' stage this is a yearly issue for us. I'm not someone who wants anything 'girly' like clothes, perfume, makeup or jewelery, as much as I'd like some ponies that would just be difficult, I much prefer buying those myself. I'm fine for games, don't really want any DVD's, have no need for any new gadgets (sure a new phone would be nice, but mine still works) I'm pretty good for art supplies too. Books, sure there may be a few but I don't know if they're even still able to be got hold off easily. And as much as I'd maybe like a few band/game shirts I'm not sure if they'd be too expensive, also they'd have to ship from the US so they'd also take a while to get here.

I can't even think of anything 'silly' I'd want. But at the same time I don't really want anything nicnkacky.

So unless somehow I can get something like a real unicorn, a working sonic screwdriver or Johnny Depp I think I'm stuck.

I love the colours, I also love autumn weather.

So I was apparently going to go to UKPonycon this year but it's not happening.
I am bummed as my mum said it should be fine when I told her earlier in the year but apparently they're 'too busy' to take me. I've missed MCM twice this year (the second con is a week after ponycon). I was really looking forward to going this year and hoped I'd be able to spend a bit more time down there since this year it was closer to home...

I started to try and make a dent in my pony cleaning backlog.

This is everyone who got cleaned today just chilling out drying on the side of the bath. Sorry about the wall, my dad has been trying to finish the bathroom for about 20 years now.


G3 Silver Rain, funny thing is I found the 'bun' hairstyle easy enough to do when her hair was dry, but once it was washed it was near impossible and I broke several hairgrips
